LOST IN THE TORMENT

:bookdiva: THE STORY BEHIND THE PICTURE : This picture was done the same day that I found out a close relative had finally passed away. Of all my relatives, Uncle Grover (my grandmother's brother-in-law and husband to her sister, Aunt Bea) was one of the few that I had been able to visit on a frequent basis growing up...back when going on a family trip wasn't viewed as a 'stop in business' to my family. Long story, but when your family starts to hold the almighty dollar first and foremost before family...the losses you suffer becomes even greater.

My close, personal friend Trudy was talking to me the day it happened, and while I shot the stock photo of myself on the web cam and manipulated it, she wrote the following poem to accompany it [link]

Grief stricken tears
Fall from my eyes
Tho death it came
As no surprise
I awaited its arrival
For death, I was prepared
But, it’s never easy to accept
Of those we loved and cared
The book of life that bound us
Has now been read and closed
I've stained each page, each memory
Our time shared remains enclosed
Now it's time to say good bye
To kiss away your pain
Don't think of it as forever
For we will meet again
I'll open the book before me
And relive our treasured times
I'll keep your spirit alive
Inside me you will see
But for now you must close your eyes
Let the angels lift you high
Rise above this world you lived
Spread your wings be free to fly

I like the poem that goes with it. The pic has that eerie Silent Hill feel to it (just for the sake of labelling it ;) ).

Also, the link to your friends deviation doesn't work properly. You've got a : added to the end.

aND THE POEM IS BEATIFUL ,YOU ARE A GENIOUS
Alas no, due to the personal nature of the image I prefer to keep it relatively "close". And no need to compliment me for the poem, i didn't wirte it. it was done for me by a very close friend who was there for me when I needed it most.
